The wooden drum
"Tung tung tung" is the sound of a slit drum calling everyone to sahur. We can't ship the original meme audio — so we built our own drum from pure math. Tap it.
Why the sounds here are "inspired by", not copied
The famous meme audio belongs to its creators, so this board plays synthesized wooden-drum sounds generated live in your browser (Web Audio API) — no samples, no downloads, nothing ripped. The pattern is what matters anyway: in Indonesia, drummers patrol at dawn during Ramadan playing rhythms like these so everyone wakes for the pre-dawn meal. Read the full story in what Tung Tung Tung Sahur means and what sahur actually is.
